The main house, originally called the Thomas Snook House, was built in 1901 as a private residence by the Fort Wayne home builder. It has been preserved, restored and cared for by its present owners since 1990. The architecture is Queen Ann neo-classical and inside you’ll find the modern conveniences of today’s world.
The LaSalle is consistently rated as a top value among hotels and lodging in downtown Fort Wayne.
The LaSalle Bed & Breakfast feels more like you are staying in a private home whose owners love to meet new people. We offer 10 rooms and the décor features personalized themes derived from places around the world where the innkeepers have lived and worked.
The LaSalle Inn has a private bathroom for every room. Five of its 10 rooms have bathrooms in the room or suite. Five rooms have locked private bathrooms near the room, and robes for your use.
The LaSalle caters to many business and casual travelers and especially to genealogy researchers coming to Fort Wayne’s Allen County Public Library. The Genealogy Center is a world-recognized source for anyone seeking individual and family history and is one-block from the LaSalle and Sion Bass houses.
The four ground-floor four suites at the LaSalle Bed & Breakfast feature private entrances and offer the amenities of a fully furnished, one-bedroom apartment, with full bath and a complete kitchen with dishwasher. These rooms can sleep up to four guests and are perfect for families. Depending on availability they may be used for extended stays.
While a great place to retreat to each evening, the LaSalle is an even better place to wake to each morning. Complimentary breakfast is where you can choose to sit down with innkeepers over a home-cooked meal, most often with a French touch added by innkeeper Rose-Aimée. Or, choose the option of breakfast brought to your room or at a private table.
If you don’t have time for breakfast, we’d be glad to give you a gift certificate to the nearby Starbucks so you can get your day started early.
All LaSalle rooms and suites enjoy access to free WIFI, cable TV, telephone with voicemail and free local calls. There’s a common area with library table, and sitting rooms including a free computer station. Small meetings possible at no extra charge.
