The city of Fort Wayne holds hundreds of years of history, from the late 1600s to the present day. From the parks named after Civil War heros, to the recent dedication of the Police & Fire Fighters Memorial, there is something for everyone to learn about and experience.
There are so many great places to get a bite to eat in downtown Fort Wayne. One favorite for it's quaint historical value is Cindy's Diner at the corner of Harrison St. and Wayne St. Besides the ornery and apply nicknamed "Brat" server and John, the owner, Cindy's Diner holds claim to inventing "garbage, a breakfast festival of eggs, potatoes, onions, ham and cheese.
